Rules to follow during a kaizen

There is no hierarchy during kaizen. You could be the president of the company but when you are in a kaizen, everyone has an equal say.

1. Aspire for 'perfect solution' but ensure it doesn't stop you from implementing a 'better solution'

2. Use your mind before you use money. Think simple and don't rely of fancy solutions

3. Criticize an idea not the person who gave that idea

4. When someone criticizes an idea it's about the idea not about you

5. No matter how much you plan, there will be problems while implementing a solution.

6. All the members of the kaizen team are responsible for sustaining the results

7. Finally -- Just Do It. Do not over analyze. The cost of wrong decision is less than the cost of no decision.
